Today’s show began with a new release on Traditional Crossroads, with a live recording from sitarist Kartik Seshadri and Bikram Ghosh, one of my favourite tabla players. And then it was off to Egypt for most of the show with Mahmoud Fadl’s great new album, Egyptian trumpet, popular singing, Nubian music, a cappella sufi chanting and Upper Egypt folk music.
