Today’s show featured a sad coincidence, I had Spanish music and Spain on my mind when I went to do my show, I had no idea Spain would loom large in the world today due to the horrific bombing in Madrid.  The guitar and its ancestor the Oud also played a large role in the music I chose.  There were some interesting connections, the music of Turina, Paco del Gastor and the Femmes de Tetouan all have Andalusia as their musical roots, though they created such different sounding music.
